How to use Closed Wound Drainage
To Activate
- Following placement of wound tubing inside body, completely insert reservoir tube into suction port A.
- Insert plug into pouring spout B just far enough to engage the flanges.Be careful not to impede air flow through pouring spout.
- Close clamp on reservoir tube.
- Fully compress the reservoir.
- Completely insert the plug into the pouring spout.
- Release clamp to activate.
To Empty
- Determine the volume of exudate using calibrations on side of reservoir.
- Engage clamp on unperforated reservoir tube.
- Remove plug from pouring spout B and empty.
To Reactivate
- Be sure reservoir is completely empty.
- Repeat steps 2 through 6
